Sterilise – (eliminates all bacteria) Metal tools then rinse in clear water 

Disinfect – (controls bacteria) worktops and floors 

Sanitise –(reduces bacteria called pathogens)  files, buffers hands and nails 

Keep salon or workplace dust and odour free as much as possible. 

Clean nail station or work area between clients. 

Do not cross infect clients. 

Cross infection – the spreading of disease causing organisms from one person to another, or from infected tools.  Viruses are also pathogenic and are spread by contact with an infected person.
