CONTRA-INDICATIONS

A thorough consultation must be carried out prior to any treatment. You must check for any contra-indications, which will prevent you from being able to carry out that treatment. If you are unsure do not proceed with the treatment. We will cover these later.

What is a contra-action? A contra-action is something that can occur during a treatment or as a result of a treatment – taking place. It is your duty as their nail technician to have suitable advice on how to deal with certain contra-actions if they were to occur. Always record these on your client record card. We will cover this later in the theory.
