If the glue is sticking the lashes together?
Too much glue may be being used or the technique for isolating lashes is incorrect.
Detach the lashes using glue remover.
Check for stickies regularly.
If the lash extensions don’t stick to natural lashes?
A residue of mascara or make up might still be present. The lashes may have oil on from the client using an oily makeup remover. Re cleanse and remove makeup remover residue with water.
If the bottom lashes sticking to top lashes?
Make sure you have taped the bottom lashes under the protector pad correctly to avoid this happening. You may be able to carefully peel the lower lash from the top lashes, be super careful to not pull any lashes out and be sure to do this with the clients eyes closed.
Troubleshooting adhesives
TOP TIP – If your temperature is even 1 degree hotter or colder than the optimum range or the humidity differs by more than 5% this can seriously affect how your adhesive performs.
Is the adhesive you have chosen the correct curing time for how you work – faster/slower?
Are you getting too many brush offs when brushing through the lashes? If so your adhesive could be too quick for you and the adhesive has already started to cure before you have time to place it on the natural lash so you won’t have a strong bond between the natural lash and extension.
Are you prepping and cleaning the lashes correctly prior to treatment? Try using a primer or ph. balance product before starting to lash otherwise you may find that the extensions just slide off of the natural lash.
Check to see if your client is currently taking any kind of hormone replacement or medication as this can cause retention issues.
Are you storing your adhesive correctly?
When you’re not using your adhesive be sure to store it somewhere dark and at room temperature in an air tight container.
Not somewhere really cold or really hot otherwise it will stop the adhesive working correctly when you open it again.
