Eyelash extensions are made mainly from three materials, two synthetic and one from animal hair.
Poly Blend
The most prevalent eyelash material is a Chinese polyester blend that does not adequately hold a curl. In warm weather these eyelashes tend to relax and are heavier in weight.
Poly/Nylon Blend
Sometimes called “faux mink” this poly/nylon blend is shinier and lighter in weight than lashes made solely from polyester. Most lashes in the industry have blunt unnatural looking ends but some brands offer a unique tapered lash which is far superior to the less tapered lashes.
Top Tip – Choose a style to mimic the natural eyelashes and create a soft, elegant look.
Mink
Mink lashes are the most expensive in the industry and are very light. A hollow fur, mink lashes are extremely soft, lightweight, and natural looking. A set of mink eyelash extensions look more natural than synthetic.
Remember real mink lashes are animal fur.
If you intend for your lashes to last a full month or longer, you need a top quality adhesive.
Eyelash extensions can last 2 weeks plus depending on the type of adhesive used, the length of the lashes and the after care, regular infills and daily cleaning and brushing.
