Conjunctivitis – Inflammation of the conjunctiva.
Styes – Are very common and can become infectious. They look like a red spot on the eyelid.
Blepharitis – Inflammation of the skin surrounding the eye. This should be dealt with quickly as it can get chronic.
Cataract – Clouding of the lens, the client would need written permission from the doctor.
Iritic – Inflammation to the iris. This can cause the eye to lose its shape and medical treatment is required.
Ingrown eyelash – Lashes can curl and grow back into eyelid causing inflammation and irritation.
Chalazae – Painless lump in eyelid and may be caused by a blockage of the sebaceous glands.
Trachoma – Trachoma is caused by the infection with the bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis.
It is a highly contagious viral infection.
Glaucoma – Disease caused by excessive glucose in the body. It is normally associated with increased fluid pressure in the eye and can cause permanent damage in the eye if it is not treated.
Black eye – The area will be swollen and bruised.
Watery eyes – This may be caused by irritation to make up or allergies.
Note – All eye conditions must be considered and treated as a contra indication and it is always better to get medical advice or not perform a treatment.
