Online courses ONLY
When booking a Online Course –
All online courses must be completed within one year of purchase. This includes all case studies and passing the assessment.
Step 1) THEORY
Complete all the online theory – Remember you can access this again at any point, whilst you are completing your course. Your theory is available to access for one year from the date of purchase.
Step 2) PATCH TEST (if applicable)
Ensure you have patch tested your model at least 48 hours minimum, prior to the treatment. This is a requirement of insurers and must be completed.
This is very important as reactions can be very severe, this is your responsibility to complete this.
Step 3) CASE STUDIES
You are required to send us case studies. The case study photos should be clear focused images and in good light, only focusing on the subject in question. Different angles. Before, During and After photos are required for each client.
We may not be able to accept case studies if the images are not of suitable quality , which will result in the case studies being invalid.

Our tutors will reply to your email as soon as possible (up to 5 working days). Feedback will be given on all case studies until the assessor is satisfied that you are ready to book in your online assessment.
We require 3 successful case studies, if the case studies fail to meet the criteria you will be required to send more. Up to 15 case studies may be required if you struggle with the treatment or case study images are unclear.
Any questions that you may have need to be asked whilst you are sending in your case studies, prior to your assessment. The assessment does not have a question and answer session or any theory, as this part of the course and is an assessment under examination conditions, we welcome communication and questions as part of the learning experience prior to the assessment. We also offer aftercare and support after you have completed the course.
Step 4) ONLINE ASSESSMENT
Please ensure that you are all set up and ready for your assessment at the time booked, for example – if your assessment is booked for 10am then we recommend that your model is in position (camera on and focused) with no makeup on, you the student should be set up and ready to start immediately once the assessment has started running. This is part of the assessment.
Requirements for the online assessment –
- A model is required for the online assessment.
- Please ensure you are all set up and ready to perform the treatment from start to finish, prior to starting.
- Good lighting and focus on camera (the assessor needs to be able to see the full treatment clearly). If the assessor cannot see clearly, the assessment will be stopped and will need to be rebooked at a charge of £25+ vat.
AFTER THE ASSESSMENT – Please email after your assessment.
- Set up photo – Photo of all products needed and where your client will be.
- Before photo – Clear focused picture of the subject you have chosen. I.e. close up of eyelashes.
- After photo of your treatment – remembering all different angles and clear focus images.
- A summary of the patch test details. – when it was done, location, any adverse effects?, clients signature.
The treatment for the assessment needs to be done independently; this is extremely important as this is part of the assessment criteria. You will not be able to ask the assessor any questions. The assessor will be muted and not on camera.
After the assessment you will be emailed feedback from the assessor. Students that have passed will then receive the accredited certificate within 10 working days.
If the assessor deems the assessment as a fail, you will be required to do further case studies and book in for another assessment. (charges apply).
Any assessments after the first will be charged at £25 +vat.
If you fail your first assessment we will endeavour to help and offer support to you, to get you ready for your next assessment. Please ensure you have practised the treatment sufficiently to be sure that you are giving yourself the best opportunity to pass the assessment.
CANCELLATION POLICY ON ONLINE ASSESSMENTS –
If for any reason you need to cancel your online assessment there will be a charge to rebook your next assessment, unless a minimum of 48 hours notice has been given prior.
If the model does not show, this will mean the assessment has to be cancelled and there will be a charge to rebook your next scheduled assessment.
If you do need to reschedule your assessment, please give us at least 48 hours minimum notice via email to cancel / reschedule.
Certificates:
Accredited e-certificates are issued (by email) within 10 working days of completing and passing your online assessment course.
If you would like a hard copy of your Accredited Certificate, there will be an additional fee of £20.83 + vat (£25.00). Please email – info@minkbeautyacademy.com
Refund policy:
Once a course has been purchased no refunds can be issued, under any circumstances.
